Music!
Lokomotiv performed to a small-sized crowd at Music One in Greenbelt 3 yesterday. They were promoting their album Rock & Roll, Death Toll. Based in L.A., they have been here in the Philippines for the past few weeks doing several gigs. Composed of former Wolfgang bandmembers Basti Artadi on vocals and Wolf Gemora on drums, they are joined by David Aguirre on lead guitar and Daniel Gonzalez on bass guitar. They sang a total of 10 songs, I think, with their most applauded performance being their rendition of the Pinoy rock classic "Beep Beep''. Man, they were really ear-splitting loud! Even though i'm not really into rock, admittedly, they were quite good. They have a new album due out later this year and they promise to return and promote again here in the Philippines.
Norah Jones' third album is already out in the market. "Not Too Late" is available as a De Luxe Edition with music CD and bonus DVD featuring 3 music videos, an interview with Norah, 2 behnd-the-scenes videos, and 2 live bonus tracks. The first released single from the album is the song "Thinking About You" whose video is already getting airtime on MTV and Myx. Norah has been involved artistically in this album more than in her 2 previous ones. Although some listener reviews have been not that encouraging, I still think the CD is enjoyable owing to Norah's beautiful voice.
