Pacman

sugarnot!

Sugarnot serves sugar-free, low-carb, low-fat meals and snacks. Founded by Mr. Eli beltran, the store has 5 branches so far:
3-F The Block, SM North; 5-F The Podium; 5-F SM Megamall; Westgate, Alabang; and Labaire Building in Bangkal, Makati.

I tried the place and the first thing that one notices is the menu has a nutritional breakdown of the items as to calories, protein, carbohydrate and fat constituents. Sugarnot has a variety of soups, salads, pasta, sausages, sandwiches, cakes, pastries, coffee and tea on the menu. They also have an all-day breakfast and lunch menu that are diabetic-friendly recipes with Glucerna SR.

I went to the Megamall branch and ordered Roasted Chicken Ham, Iced Tea, and New York Cheesecake as dessert. The sandwich was light. The iced tea was okay. The cake was sort of dry and it was unfortunate that no toppings were available at the time(options were strawberry, blueberry, and chocolate). The service was fast and the place was small but cozy. The prices were reasonable.

I would probably go back and eat again there, especially if I felt weight- and health-conscious at the time.

Coco

Colbie Caillat's Bubbly Tour in the Philippines was well attended. She performed at the Glorietta Activity Center today at around 7pm.

The show was opened by local singer Julianne. She played the guitar while singing. She sang one of her singles, a cover of Bob Marley's Waiting in Vain, and Grateful.

A few minutes later, Colbie went out and her first word was "Salamat" after the welcoming applause. She sang cuts form her album like Better Off, Realize, This is a Battle, her cover of Bob Marley's Wanna Give You Some Love, and Feelings Show. Last but not least was her popular Bubbly which she accompanied on guitar. Her live rendition was really quite better than the original. For an encore, she sung Magic, also from her album.

There was a meet and greet, as well as autograph signing after the performance. All in all it was a good show. She sang very well and her voice is so suited to mellow tunes.

tedbits:
...celebrity sightings: Say Alonzo at Glorietta. She's much prettier in person!

...PowerBooks woes continue: My missing e-purse is still missing. They also revised their online site and my previous account (as well as those of others, probably) was lost. Their new site looks like Amazon's, it serves as an online store. Redeeming factor is that I was able to get a one-time 40% discount on purchases since I am a March celebrant!
