ASS Vol. 1

All-Star Superman Vol. 1 compiles the comic book issues 1-6. It is more of a newer story of Superman as seen by Grant Morrison and is not just a simple retelling or version of the popular comic book series. It makes for good reading because it brings to light the heroic icon in a new way that one could have never imagined. The ongoing series is getting rave reviews and promises more surprises to come.

Wow! Definitely the best book in the series! Fast-paced, action-filled, superbly written, and very revealing... I was one of countless fans who got the book on the 1st day it was released, and just could not put down the book (and stayed up all through the night) until I was able to finish it. "Closure" is a word that I would use to describe the eventual pervading feeling after reading the book. The release of the book has set sales records all over the world. I plan to reread it once I have more free time (I just squeezed in reading it because I could not resist learning what happened in book 7). :-)


Definitely, my favorite character in the series is Hermione Granger! This was further strengthened by Hermione's brilliance in the 7th book. She's very practical and a really quick thinker, playing a really important part in Harry Potter's saga.
As I was reading the 7th book I could not help but visualize the characters and scenes based on the movie series. Emma Watson captures the true Hermione Granger persona and is really perfect for the part.

Maganda ang pelikula... Unti-unti nang tumanda ang tatlong pangunahing karakter simula nung unang pelikula, at naging bahagi tayong lahat dito. Sina Radcliffe, Grint at Watson pa rin ang gaganap hanggang sa ikapitong pelikula. Hanep sa timing din at papalabas na ang ika-7 libro sa serye ni Harry Potter sa darating na ika-21 ng Hulyo. Ang dami na ngang nagpa-reserba sa Power Books at iba pang bookstore eh. Para tuloy buwan ni Harry Potter ngayong Hulyo...

Grabe! Medyo matagal din ang eksenang ito...

Die Hard 4.0

Die Hard 4.0 is so unbelievably action-packed! You leave the cinema with a real sense of awe and disbelief at Bruce Willis' character who is able to defy all kinds of seemingly insurmountable odds and still come out on top in the end. This 4th installment of Die Hard is up to par with it's predecessors and manages to pull out new tricks and stunts. It also has a great supporting cast and a pretty decent story. The DVD version would most likely be a hit likewise.


This is a lousy compilation... the story is not resolved in the end, and the art is too simplistic. Would'nt recommend buying it.
