cr...

I get to pass by several shopping malls while going to and from work. I sometimes while away the time there and of course, get to use their public comfort rooms in the process. As you may well know, males have urinals in their CRs.

The cleanest CRs for me are those at Ayala Malls. Those of the rest are more or less at par with each other. The urinals in Ayala Malls flush automatically without your having to touch or push anything. I think this is more hygeinic than those where you still have to press the plunger in order to flush. SM Mall CRs, meanwhile, employ the no-flush/waterless system which according to them saves more than 100,000 liters of water per urinal per year. This is very sensible in terms of water conservation and again is more hygeinic than having to flush by yourself.

Thank goodness also for pay CRs like the one in EDSA Shang-rila Mall! P10 gives you the opportunity to use a cleaner and a bit more private CR. Tissue paper is also almost unlimited. Contrast that with still having to buy tissue from vendo machines that cost P3 and are quite inadequate.

moving on... my recent reads:

JSA Classified Honor Among Thieves compiles JSA Classified issues #5-9. The first storyline invloves the resurgence of the Injustice Society while the second storyline involves Flash and Wildcat against the Spear of Destiny. Overall story and art is quite good.

The Batman in Nine Lives by Motter and Lark is an Elseworlds graphic novel. As the Elseworlds introduction goes: "In Elseworlds, heroes are taken from their usual settings and put into strange times and places - some that have existed, and others that can't, couldn't or shouldn't exist. The result is stories that make characters who are as familiar as yesterday seem as fresh as tomorrow." The setting of this story is in the 1940s, with Batman trying to solve who killed Selina Kyle. The other charaters like Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Joker, Penguin, Two-face, and others are portrayed as real people without any powers, but with character traits similar to the original ones. Being a Batman fan, it is nice to be able to see Batman in a different light.
